Featured Project: Friona Playa Lakes FestivalLast month, the Ogallala Commons conducted a festival for school children and teens focused on playa and watershed conservation in Friona, Texas. The festival was part of a year-long education and outreach project entitled "Watershed Festivals for Playa Education" funded in part by a PLJV/ConocoPhillips grant in 2007. Browse all projects. Follow the Money: New Mexico State Forestry Noxious Weed Grant ProgramNew Mexico Energy Minerals and Natural Resources Department, Forestry Division is accepting grant proposals for the Invasive Weeds Grant Program. This program emphasizes funding the development of Cooperative Weed Management Areas and subsequent treatment programs that will help treat and prevent the spread of noxious weeds in areas that threaten forest and woodland areas.
