Bird Conservation through Education

One of the PLJV's primary areas of work is to encourage children and adults to become active stewards of wildlife and their habitats. The Joint Venture accomplishes this task by working with partners to develop and disseminate educational and outreach materials and programs focused on playa wetlands, associated habitats and birds and how to conserve them. Some of these programs include: playa festivals, habitat management workshops for landowners and teacher trainings.
