Join Us in Bird Conservation
Whether you are a landowner, educator, resource manager, conservation professional or just a curious individual, you have a place with the PLJV. There are many ways to get involved, from working with us on habitat projects to joining a local conservation partnership.
The Playa Lakes Joint Venture is a partnership organization. Our Management Board is comprised of many of our larger ongoing partners. Private landowners however, are what make the PLJV tick. As producers utilize various Farm Bill programs, especially CRP, they are helping to conserve bird populations throughout the region. (For a more in-depth analysis of the effects of CRP on bird populations see our report to the USDA-Farm Service Agency.)
Private landowners also comprise the membership and/or work closely with several of our local conservation partnerships. If you have an interest in working with one of these groups contact the local conservation partnership in your area or contact Christopher Rustay, PLJV Conservation Delivery Leader.
