Colorado Wetland and Riparian Restoration, Enhancement & Creation Grant Program

The Colorado Division of Wildlife (CDOW) is making up to $1.7 million available for wetland and riparian restoration, enhancement, and creation projects to support its Wetlands Program Strategic Plan. The Colorado Wetland’s for Wildlife Program is a voluntary, collaborative, and incentive-based program to protect, restore, enhance and create wetlands and riparian areas in Colorado. The intent of this funding is to support the improvement of the distribution and abundance of ducks, and opportunities for public waterfowl hunting, and the status of declining or at-risk species. Funds are allocated annually to the program. Projects are selected by a Division of Wildlife committee of biologists and field operations staff. Applications are due February 26, 2010, and should be submitted electronically to the Wetlands Program Coordinator in a single file (MS-Word or Adobe PDF format) of less than 5MB.
